We have great news.

A private individual has stepped forward and made an offer to buy the Prince’s Motto from the Pubco. This offer has been accepted, and the sale is proceeding.

​

We have always made it clear that in this eventuality we would step aside as potential purchasers and offer the new owner all the help that they need to make a success of the new Motto.

​

So, we welcome the new owner and look forward to co-operating with them to create the Community Hub that Barrow Gurney needs so much.

​

We will, as a result, finalise the details of the Community Share Offer that would have been launched in May before putting the Barrow Gurney Community Benefit Society into standby mode to await further developments.

​

As the sale progresses we will simply ensure that the Society is properly positioned as an “on the shelf” entity that can be recommissioned if required in the future.

​

We would like to offer heartfelt thanks to all pledgers, and others who have shown interest, for their support and we will keep you all informed on developments as they occur.

​

In the meantime, our focus will shift to welcoming and supporting the new owner.
